Selecting a Monument

Monuments and memorials are a way to pay tribute to those we love who are no longer with us. They can be personalized in many, many ways including custom laser etchings, porcelain photographs, epitaphs, emblems, vases or bronze statuary, just to name a few.

Monuments are available in many different styles, shapes and sizes. There are also a variety of materials to choose from including granite, marble and bronze. Memorials can be designed in the form of a park bench and placed in a garden setting. They can hold the ashes of a loved one or they can be placed at the head of a gravesite.

Granite is by far the most popular material used for monuments today. Not only will granite withstand the test of time, it is available in numerous colors...gray, black, red, pink, brown and green.

Upright headstones are the most popular style of monuments but there are other choices including flat markers, wedge, bevel and custom-designs. The cemetery you have chosen may have restrictions as to the size, shape or even color of memorials and should be consulted prior to beginning the selection process.
